We are working to promote: · community environmental education · energy conservation, efficiency, and renewable energy · use of local foods and resources · minimizing waste through “reduce, reuse, recycle and redesign” · preserving green space, farmland, forests, and clean waterways · “smart” growth to prevent urban sprawl and dependence on private automobiles · transportation alternatives and mass transit · economic growth which is coupled with social and economic equity · citizen empowerment in governance
