Recently actually twice this year I traveled to North Dakota if you have seen the news the area of stanley and New Town and Parshall are in the middle of a giant oil boom I saw this happen before up there in the 1970s and then it went away well its back and now for hundreds of miles all you see at night is the glow mof natural gas fires that light up the night it's bigger than any thing that you have ever seen alot of people that were poor are now reeping the benifits if oil hopefully this will help our economy but its still a very little area in the midwest I believe it is a good thing if we can add solar wind and possibly some types of Geo thermo and neuclear energy to it and harness the natural gas for consumption the oil companies such as exxon mobile and amerada hess and trustland consultants and several other smaller cmpanies are all competeing by offering 5 year leases with up to 4;500.00 dollars an acre to lease the minerals and then 2.00 dollars an acre after that for the 5 year term and 18 to 23 % oil royalties and an agreement to rigourously try to develope oilwells and so far it looks really promiseing . I believe that with this the people of the Dakotas will then become more green as they will then not have to use their tractors and thier combines and there old plows and gas guzzeling 4 wheel drives and they will be able to use all this to the greater Good If there is one thing that I do belive in It is the people of the dakotas and I believe that they will find the Al;ternative solutions that we all desperately need for ourselfs. one thing also most of the people that are getting these oil wells own not just a few acres of land but whole sections and myself I own small amounts of interest in several different sections so it does benifit everyone up there and alot of us out here as well. thank you Glenn
