Thousands Urge the Press to Ask Questions on Global Warming more »

I have to admit I haven't looked at my account for a while and haven't added much content, but that doesn't mean I haven't lost interest.
I signed up for Google News alerts on Personal Rapid Transportation (PRT) and am enlightened every week as I read more and more about this fantastic transportation solution. It makes so much sense and would work so well it astonishes me that the idea is met with so many non-believers.
Take a look at them. Google PRT or Podcars and you'll find out what I'm talking about. If anyone has any advice on how I can get involved in getting projects like these started I would definitely be interested.

I read Al Gore's speech today about getting the United States off of our oil dependency in 10 years and just felt that I had to learn more about it. It's been something on my mind for the past couple years and I feel getting involved this way will be a good opportunity to learn from others, share my thoughts, and be a part of this great movement.
I particularly enjoyed the end of Mr. Gore's speech on bold movements. It's a bold, expensive, and difficult challenge, but I feel that that's what it will take to initiate the kind of change that needs to happen. I don't know if I completely believe that everything is lost in 10 years, but I do believe the best time is to act now and live in the present. Maybe it takes longer than 10, but if that's the goal and people work honestly towards that, I think it is possible.
