National Tree planting effort
The harvest season is comming for pinecones and there are billions of aceres available to plant pine tree seedlings. Get onboard this national effort 1 person cant harvest enough seeds from pinecones. The process is easy. Just pick pinecones just before they open to release their seedlings. And simply dry them out until the cones open and release the seeds. Then we will take all the seeds "as we harvest them" and we will plant them about 1/4" deep in the soil inbetween all of the freeways throughout the entire united states. If we can do this all at the same time. Then we can make a difference.

The following Global Reforestation and Revolving Loan Plan comes from the PRP and was originally prepared in 1999 by Dave Saunders, Father Alfredo Jaramillio, and Minister Stephen Fantl, based on the information provided by Mr. Tim Hall, Denny Beeson, and other qualifed experts in the field of Paulownia.

A tree in a community is a blessing and gift for all life, current and future; it is a source of beauty, an air purifier, a heat modifier, a soil stabilizer, a wildlife habitat and has many other benefits which we will explore. If you would like to start growing trees in your community, Visit SAFE in the Partners section of the Peace Portal website.

Trees reduce topsoil erosion, prevent harmful land pollutants contained in the soil from getting into our waterways, slow down water run-off, phyto-remediates infected lands, provides shade, decrease energy usage, and ensure that our breathing air is continually being replenished.   Read More »

Guidelines for Reclaiming Surface-Mined Land using PAulownia

The purpose of this paper is to detail the practical, cost-effective guidelines used by the Paulownia Reforestation Project (PRP,) Farr Better Trees, and Plan-it, Plant-it, Planet for reclaiming surface-mined land to forestland. Successful reforestation is primarily a function of selection, placement and grading of the surface-mine soil material, hydroseeding with tree-compatible grass and legume covers, tree species selection, and seedling handling and planting techniques. The following guidelines were developed from research and practical experience.   Read More »

PeacePortal is excited and pleased to have multiple Paulownia Tree growing projects as partners whom are networking together so more of these truly unique trees can become available for local projects (SAFE) and in preparation for our Global Projects such as PRP and P3 whom are implementing a Paulownia based Global Warming Solution.
