Fossil Fuel Paradigm Breaking
Paradigms frame our world view. Famous example of paradigm changes include the lack of recognition of the digital watch by the Swiss watch industry. The Swiss invented it and the Japanese adopted and produced it. The change from the Fossil Fuel paradigm to the Clean Energy and Adoption of Renewables paradigm will be similar. The problem with paradigms is that people and groups enmeshed in one cannot even hear the new paradigm much less adopt it. This blog is dedicated to problem solving of this, potentially, very large issue with WE.
I ran across a remarkable educator name Joel Barker many years ago. He is an independent scholar and futurist. Because he was the first person to popularize the concept of paradigm shifts, he is known around the world as the "Paradigm Man." He began his work in 1975 and pioneered the concept of paradigm shifts to explain profound change and the importance of vision to drive change within organizations. The prestigious Library Journal listed his book, Future Edge, published in 1992, as one of the most influential business books of that year. I believe the principals of We Can Solve It need to rent Joel's movies at a minimum or, better yet, get him fully engaged in the initiative.
